About The Vision:
Just A Sheep Ministries came about from a vision that I had in November of 2000. I was living with my older sister, Jenny in Fairbanks, Alaska. We had a small daycare at the time. Being a new mother, I was experiencing a little postpartum depression. It was hard being a single mother and feeling like I had no real direction or success in my life. When depressed or experiencing a bad attitude I would often resort to grumbling and complaining. This time was different. I decided to worship God instead. To rejoice in the struggle. I had taken a look at the story of Paul and Silas. Here they are in Jail, yet they choose to sing praises to God anyway. I thought, what could it hurt?
At about three in the morning when all was quiet, I sat up in bed and began quietly singing praise songs to God. I felt His presence come into the room and was so glad I didn't keep my rotten attitude. As I kept singing I reached out to give the Lord a hug, for I felt he was right there. As I did, I was taken into a vision. Suddenly I was in a parking lot walking into an office building. As I looked up, the sign on the outside read, Just A Sheep Ministries.
I walked in and saw a reception counter. On the wall next to the counter was a huge poster, bigger than me. It read, "N2 His Destiny". On the bottom it had all the places all over the World the youth crusade was to be held. Then I looked down at the reception counter and it was a see through counter. It had books displayed in it. One of the books was on top of the counter. It was a youth discipleship manual. Before I opened it up I noticed t-shirts, cartoon character's framed and displayed on the opposite wall.
There was also, merchandise that carried a label called B-Bold. I saw other books as well. When I picked up the youth discipleship book on the counter I noticed the author. It was me. I thought, "No Way". The book was color coded with sections. Each section had chapters. It was a manual for youth inspiring them to get a positive mindset using the scriptures and promises in God's word as their tools to get through the struggles of life. To learn how to have a relationship with God. When I took a look at the table of contents I was taken out of the vision. I was back in my room at my sister's house. Next to the bed I had scrapbooking supplies with a notebook on top. I picked up the notebook and begin writing down what I had seen. From that point on I believed God had given me a clear vision of my destiny and purpose.
Since that time I have had my share of ups and downs in life. The last two years I have begun developing the new mind set God has given me and put the discipleship manual principals to use in my own life. Now, I'm writing the book that has been in development for 7 years. I feel supernatural birth pangs of the Holy Spirit. Now is the time. In fulfilling ones destiny I believe you have to put action behind the prophecy. That is what I'm doing. I'm stepping out in faith. Giving birth to the ministry God has tattooed on my heart.
Just A Sheep Ministries is not about me. It is about all of us. My heart is passionate about youth. To see the fire of God fill the lives of youth all over the world. I will not stop going after all that God has to offer. The vision, the dreams, and the prophecies. My heart is in reaching out to youth. Encouraging them to claim their inheritance in the Kingdom of God and take hold of each of their destinies. Part of that intimate relationship with God is developed in the study of the word of God. Speaking the Word of God is powerful. I want to inspire youth to speak God's promises back to him developing a new mind set and focusing their heart, mind, soul, and spirit on the King of Kings. The one who can take them into the Promise Land and the eternal salvation that is offered through the ultimate sacrafice of Jesus, God's son.
The Vision
To win souls! Reaching out to people in the street, store, or where ever the Holy Spirit Leads. Using fun events and crusades to minister to those who are unsaved. We believe the Kingdom of God is here for us to do as Jesus did. Preach the gospel, lay hands on the sick, and even raise the dead. God loves every one of us and has a special plan for each of us. We were created to receive all that God has for us.
To develop ministry resources that have modern concepts. Resources that work to relate to people today.
